Dr. B is sad today

I don't usually feel a lot of emotion towards extremely ill patients. I hate to sound callous, but it kind of comes with the territory.... I have also never prayed for a patient that I have provided care for. Today has been an exception to both of the previous statements. 2 days ago I admitted a woman to the hospital. She is a young woman with 4 children. Despite her serious illness she has a great personality and is very witty. She has been an absolute joy to care for. Today I had to transfer her to another hospital to have a surgery which she has a very poor prognosis in terms of survival.

Please pray/channel your positive energy towards this person. She deserves to hang around a little longer, and shouldn't leave us just yet. The light is darkest before the end of the tunnel..

:-( Lots of this going on lately. There are 2 young mothers that are friends of people we know at church, each has bad cancer diagnosis. Definitely isn't fair and something that scares me to no end.
